May 4th, with it’s fancy pun, has become an unofficial holiday of sorts for Star Wars fans across the world. Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con has gotten into the spirit with some great news from A Galaxy Far Far Away…

Classic Star Wars Artist RICK HOBERG is coming to AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON! Rick Hoberg was one of the early Marvel Comics Star Wars Artists, completing the first several storylines. He also contributed to the Star Wars comic strip that was syndicated in newspapers nationally, as well as contributing official licensing art for Lucas film. Rick is a valuable guest at Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con as he showcases the progression of the Star Wars Fandom and Comic franchise over the years.

Rick Hoberg has an prolific comic career in addition to Star Wars with other highlights on titles such titles as Green Arrow, Brave & Bold, and Justice League for DC Comics, after runs on Iron Man, Savage Sword of Conan, and What If?

Besides his comics work, Hoberg has been active in animation since 1978 as a storyboard artist, designer, and layout supervisor for Hanna-Barbara, Filmation, Marvel Productions, Disney, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros, and more. Among the many animated series Rick Hoberg has contributed to include Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends, GI Joe, X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jem & Holograms, Godzilla, and more. Other recent animation work includes Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

Rick Hoberg is currently the lead Cinematic Storyboard Artist at 343 Industries for HALO. Rick Hoberg is scheduled to appear each of the 3 days of the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con. Hoberg will be seated in the artist alley, where he will be available for commissions, meeting fans, and signing books.

AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON is the premiere Pop Culture Event, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center on June 17-18-19. The event features the very best comic creators in the world with favorites from the Las Vegas Community, extensive programming, international artist alley, and the Wizards of cosplay.
