Amazing Comic Con welcomes hit producer KEN LEVIN to Las Vegas!
Ken Levin is the twice Emmy nominated deal maker behind your favorite genre shows. He was responsible in bringing Garth Ennis’ hit vision of THE BOYS to Hollywood, along with spin off shows THE BOYS PRESENTS DIABOLICAL and VARSITY: GEN V. Shepherding graphic novels to the screen is Ken Levin’s area of expertise. He has worked with Ennis on PREACHER from AMC, and handled the the rights deals for Steven Spielberg's Academy Award Winning film- ROAD TO PERDITION, and many others from well respected creators.
Ken Levin is bringing his independent publishing company 1FIRST COMICS to the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con. This is the oldest independent comic company in North America, celebrating their 40th birthday. A numbers of creators will be meeting fans at the 1First booth on the convention floor including Orlando Harding, The Yuan Twins, Fillbach Brothers and more. Look for them on the convention floor each of the three days of the event on September 16- 17-18, as well as on the programming schedule too. Ken Levin will be joing creator GARTH ENNIS on the MAIN STAGE on Saturday September 17 at 5pm for the special presentation on THE BOYS. Here the creator and producers will discuss Amazon Prime’s most successful show, as well as the making of the new Spin-Off series. Fans will have a chance to interact in a special Q&A as well!

Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con is the largest Pop Culture expo in the state of Nevada! KEN F. LEVIN is a twice nominated EMMY producer who co-founded the iconic independent comics company 1First Comics, winner of HARVEY, EAGLE and RIF (READING IS FUNDAMENTAL) Awards, where Ken has served as publisher for more than ten years. In the 1990’s Ken’s personal and professional relationships with a small, select group of comics’ creators expanded to comic property management. Many of those creators have become some of the biggest stars in comics today, including, as examples, Mike Mignola, Jimmy Palmiotti, Max Allan Collins, Bill Willingham, and Garth Ennis. It was at this time that Levin began a campaign in Hollywood for recognition of independent comics titles that were not Marvel and DC, and for the writers who created them to be recognized as professional creatives and not dismissed as “comics people.” That campaign’s success is today nowhere more evident than on the screens of televisions and multi-plexes every day. Among those successes: • Ken handled the rights deals for Steven Spielberg’s Academy Award-winning feature film ROAD TO PERDITION (starring Tom Hanks, directed by Sam Mendes), based upon Max Allan Collins’ graphic novel, the motion picture credited with causing the paradigm shift in how Hollywood perceives comic art story-telling material. Later, Ken put together deals for the feature film A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE (starring Tom Sizemore) from Mr. Collins’ screenplay, and QUARRY (HBO/Cinemax), from Max’ novels, with Ken and Max as Executive Producers. • Ken set up and was Executive Producer on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s PREACHER (four seasons on AMC Network) • Ken Co-Produced the animated THE AMAZING SCREW-ON HEAD for SyFy Channel (voiced by Paul Giamatti and David Hyde Pierce), and was Executive Producer for the 22 episode TV series PAINKILLER JANE (starring Kristanna Loken), based on the Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada EVENT COMICS series. • Ken produced the feature film THE SCRIBBLER (starring Arrow’s Katie Cassidy) based on the First Comics graphic novel THE SCRIBBLER by Dan Schaffer; Ken set up WANTED (starring Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman) at Universal Studios; and Ken did all of the deals for the hit feature films HELLBOY, HELLBOY II, and the 2019 HELLBOY reboot. • Ken set up and is Executive Producer of Garth Ennis’ THE BOYS, the biggest his AMAZON Prime has ever had. Season Four is currently filming in Toronto; the animated spin-off THE BOYS PRESENTS: DIABOLICAL was nominated for an Outstanding Animated Short Series EMMY, and a live action spin-off series VARSITY: GEN V is in production.
